Fry's Run Watershed Association
July 5, 2011 Minutes

Present:  Jeff McGuire, Bob Schmidt, Linda Heindel, Polly Clark. 

Jim Wilson had dropped off the tabletop display of the FRWA, which Jeff brought to the meeting for review, which was completed recently by Kerri Maxfield. 

We discussed a possible project for FRWA for the upcoming LV Watershed activities in September. Due to coliform level concerns in the creek, we will be doing our regular water testing in the fall rather than a "critter capture" activity, which had been planned earlier, because we don't want to expose children to any possible diseases. It could be done at the Fry's Run Park area. 

Lehigh Univ. professor, Kristin Jellison, did not receive a grant yet so will not be doing any water testing in the foreseeable future. 

Jim Wilson forwarded an article about best practices for animal management near stream sides for our information. McGuire said he would circulate it.

No further action has been taken re: the Fry's Run riparian buffer plans and no further information on the Pa. Fish and Boat plans. 

Next FRWA meeting is set for 08/02/11 at 7:00pm.
